His songs tell stories of ordinary people
in the ordinary struggles
and joys of life.
Gerard's music is reminiscent of
Hank Williams' simplicity,
Tom T. Hall's storytelling,
and Roger Miller's lightheartedness.
He grew up on a small farm in southern Minnesota and now lives north of the Twin Cities.
A lifelong musician, Gerard has made a career as a classical piano instructor and accompanist. He has always had a love for American country and folk music. As a young man, he performed and wrote regularly. Now, with more experience and insights, he is back at it.
He has recorded two EPs at Sun Dog Studios (formerly River Rock) and released them in 2025 and early 2026.
