Gerard writes and sings Americana songs with a nod to bluegrass, telling stories of ordinary people and the everyday struggles, joys and humor that shape their lives. His music reflects the simplicity of Hank Williams, the storytelling of Tom T. Hall and the lightheartedness of Roger Miller. Raised on a small farm in southern Minnesota, Gerard now lives north of the Twin Cities, where he continues to draw inspiration from rural life and the people around him.
A lifelong musician, Gerard built a career as a classical piano instructor and accompanist while maintaining a deep love for American country and folk music. After performing and writing songs regularly as a young man, he has returned to songwriting with a fresh perspective and renewed purpose. Gerard recorded his first two EPs at Sun Dog Studios (formerly River Rock Studios), releasing them in 2025 and early 2026.
